75% American potential recruits too fat, lazy, or in trouble with the law to serve

World War 3 will probably be televised. Most recruits will watch it from the comfort of their coaches or prison cots, too fat or in trouble with the law to serve.

The latest Army statistics show a stunning 75 percent of military-age youth are ineligible to join the military because they are overweight, can't pass entrance exams, have dropped out of high school or had run-ins with the law.So many young people between the prime recruiting ages of 17 and 24 cannot meet minimum standards that a group of retired military leaders is calling for more investment in early childhood education to combat the insidious effects of junk food and inadequate education.

  1. This is so crazy. I recently read something about this on NPR. It said that when recruiting for World War II, many of the recruits were too skinny and bulky enough to fight. This undoubtedly shows how fat America is getting if this is a problem for our military. It’s also interesting to note that many of the fattest recruits come from Southern States which may have to do with a fatty diet and a need for school lunch reform in those states.
