
Although Greenland, just like most of the northern hemisphere has been under a succession of record breaking head domes, the recently reported news that most of the Greenland ice sheet is melting needs to be taken with a grain of salt. The NASA data only indicated some superficial, surface melting that lasted a few days. In fact, Greenland remains as cold as it could be. Temperature data at the US NSF funded Summit Station indicates that the average temperatures for July in the heart of Greenland were @ -10C / 14F.
