Small debris field in Malacca Strait near island Pulau Perak purportedly associated with MH370 discussed on TomNod, Twitter, and Reddit

A sea debris field at 5°39’08.0″N 98°50’38.0″E north of the tiny granite outcropping Pulau Perak is being examined on the crowdsourced site TomNod as a potential location for the crash of lost flight MH370. The debris field was reported by a Twitter user, with pictures, today and is now explored by a few vessels. The field is inconsistent with the theory that the last plane ping was at 8 am, several hours into the flight, since the location is quite close to the last radar location of the plane, only 2 hours into the flight. Thus, the search continues.
