Larry Sanger, the first chief editor of Wikipedia and considered by many to be a co-founder of the popular website together with James Wales, its current leader, will give a talk today at Purdue on The Digital Universe — What would the ideal information resource look like? Larry is a guest of my class, Perspectives on Communication and Technology, and will talk about his newer endevours, which include the Digital Universe initiative, a collaborative, but moderated, knowledge production and management tool. A webacast of his talk will be available on this website.
