Music and Twitter, together at last

Twisten.fm….a new mashup between Twitter and music service Grooveshark is just one more way to “fall in love” with web 2.0.   As if Twitter needed another way to show-off it’s coolness.  A play on the original use of  mashup (mixing various genres of music), Twisten.fm pulls song links from Grooveshark and displays them as a “musical tweet” similar to how twitpic allows you to share tiny urls of photos you want your followers to see.  You don’t even need to use a separate login for this site – your Twitter login is all you need to explore.  This service is another way that micorblogging is making a huge impact in the social networking world.  I’ve used last.fm, pandora, and blip.fm, but now since I’m already a pretty serious twitter user, I can’t wait to use Twisten.fm for recommendations for new songs and artists alike.  Sure Twisten.fm isn’t the only service that allows you to be your own DJ or give a status update about what you are listening to.  There might be some of you who prefer some of the other services.  The unique thing about Twisten.fm is it’s integration with Twitter.  There are so many ways to use the service for productivity and fun.  So if you’re looking for another way to integrate Twitter into your daily web 2.0 routine, give Twisten.fm a try.  I sure did and I love it!
