Unsatisfied by e-ink technologies, which replace vibrant paper and wonderful type with murky, mucky grayish backgrounds and pixelated letters? Do you think, just like me, that the convenience/quality trade-off proposed by e-ink is too great to justify phasing out regular paper? Xerox might have something up its sleeve for us.
Xerox researchers have developed an experimental printing technology that could someday replace printed pages that are used for just a brief time before being discarded. The project is a collaborative development between the Xerox Research Centre of Canada and PARC Palo Alto Research Center Inc..
