French Police Kill Brothers Kouachi, Charlie Hebdo Attackers, Ending Hostage Situation

At approximately 17:15, January 9, the police assaulted the Dammartin-en-Goële printing shop where the two brothers were holed up. They were both killed and their hostage freed according to AP. At the same time, the police assaulted a butcher shop in Porte de Vincennes, Paris, where a presumed accomplice took at least one hostage in support of the Kouachi brothers. Similarly, numerous hostages at the Porte de Vincennes location were rescued.
